Use your HSBC Corporate Card with Apple Pay

Fast, easy and secure

Enjoy all the benefits of your HSBC Corporate Card with Apple Pay on iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, and Mac.

Using Apple Pay is simple, and it works with the devices you use every day. Your card information is secure because it isn’t stored on your device or shared when you pay. So you can pay in an easy, secure, and private way.

And you can say goodbye to the contactless limit with Apple Pay. You can purchase over the contactless limit in many stores, so you can use Apple Pay for purchases, big or small.

Use Apple Pay on websites, in apps or in stores wherever you see these symbols:

We won't charge you for using Apple Pay, but charges from your mobile network provider may apply depending on your data plan.

How to add a card

On Apple Watch Series 3 and later, and iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus and later, you can add up to 12 cards on a device. On earlier models, you can add up to 8 cards on a device. The same card can be added on up to 9 devices. The first card added to Apple Pay will be the default card. Payments will be from this card unless another card is selected. You can change your default card at any time by going into ‘Settings’, and then ‘Wallet & Apple Pay’.

HSBC Corporate Cards Mobile App

Add your HSBC Corporate Card to Apple Pay directly from the HSBC Corporate Cards Mobile App.

  1. Simply log on to the latest version of your HSBC Corporate Cards app and select your HSBC Corporate Card.
  2. Go to ‘Manage cards’ and select ‘Add to Apple Wallet’.
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete adding your card to Apple Wallet.

iPhone

  1. Open the Wallet app.
  2. Tap the Add button
  3. Tap Debit or Credit Card to add a new card.
  4. Tap Continue.
  5. To add your HSBC Corporate Card
    • Tap or hold your card close to your iPhone to add it.
    • To add your card manually, tap Enter Card Details Manually and follow the onscreen instructions.
  6. In some cases, you’ll have to verify your card with a one-time passcode which will be sent to you by text message.

Apple Watch

If you have a paired Apple Watch, you have the option to add the card to it.

  1. On your paired iPhone, open the Apple Watch app.
  2. In the My Watch tab, tap Wallet & Apple Pay.
  3. Tap Add Card.
  4. Tap Debit or Credit Card to add a new card.
  5. Tap Continue.

Follow the steps on the screen in the Wallet app on your Apple Watch to manually add your Corporate Card to your watch.

iPad and Mac with Touch ID

  1. On your device, open Wallet & Apple Pay settings.
    • On your Mac model with Touch ID, go to System Settings (or System Preferences) > Wallet & Apple Pay.
    • On your iPad, go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay.
  2. Select Add Card.
  3. Follow the steps on the screen to add your HSBC Corporate Card.
  4. In some cases, you’ll have to verify your card with a one-time passcode which will be sent to you by text message.

How to pay

In stores

You can use Apple Pay anywhere that displays the Apple Pay or contactless logos.

Pay with iPhone

  • If your iPhone has Face ID, double-click the side button.
  • If your iPhone has Touch ID, double-click the home button.
  • Hold your iPhone near the contactless reader until a ‘Done’ and a tick appear on the display.

Pay with Apple Watch

  • Double-click the side button.
  • Hold the display of your Apple watch near the contactless reader until you feel a gentle tap and hear a beep.

Pay on websites and in apps

You can use Apple Pay to pay on websites and in apps when you see Apple Pay as a payment option.

  • Tap the Apple Pay button or choose Apple Pay as your payment method.
  • Follow the steps on screen to confirm the payment on your Apple device.
  • When your payment is successful, you’ll see ‘Done’ and a tick on the screen.

Your default card

The first card you add to your Apple Wallet is assigned as your default card. Payments are automatically charged to the default card. If you add more cards and want to change your default card, follow these steps.

iPhone

  • Open your Wallet app.
  • Touch and hold the card that you want to set as your default card, then drag it to the front of your cards.

Apple Watch

  • Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
  • In the My Watch tab, tap Wallet & Apple Pay.
  • Under Transaction Defaults > tap Default Card > tap a card to set it as your default card.

iPad and Mac with Touch ID

  • On your iPad go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay> under Transaction Defaults > tap Default Card > tap a card to set it as your default card.
  • On your Mac with Touch ID, go to System Settings (System Preferences) > Wallet & Apple Pay. Choose a card from the Default Card menu.
